In Her Shoes, based on Jennifer Weiner’s novel of
the same name, is a comedy that tells the story of two motherless odd
couple sisters. One sister, Maggie (Cameron Diaz), is a drop-dead
gorgeous, but irresponsible party girl and the other, Rose (Toni Collette),
is a strait-laced and successful attorney.
The real trouble begins when Maggie moves in with
her big sister, and then beds her boyfriend. Thrown out to fend for
herself, Maggie unexpectedly finds herself while living in a retirement
community with her long-lost grandmother. At the same time, Rose finds an
ideal fiancé and happiness in a new dog-walking occupation. But the two
sisters find they still need each other more than ever…
