The legendary Absolom heads up the decks as Alien Safari celebrates
its 13th birthday, on the 13th of December this year, at an exclusive
majestic venue near Cape Town's city centre.
It has been thirteen years since Alien Safari was born, and what
started as a small gathering of colourful people and psychedelic music,
has grown into a highlight on the international calendar of outdoor
parties and festivals, with a reputation for great sound, mind-blowing
décor and majestic venues... Not to mention playing host to top
international Trance DJs!

Ibiza based producer and DJ, Absolum, kicks off his world-wide tour
with a
powerful set right here in South Africa, before heading to Israel, South
America, Japan, Mexico and Europe. His music has been described by the
genre's elite, as "Hi-tech, precision pieces of super structured, savage,
searing sounds" and as "a cranium creakin', frenetic frenzy of hi-tonal
abandonment towards total Nike meltdown!
Created in 1996, Absolom is the solo project of Parisian-born Christof
Drouillet - founder of 3D Vision. Christof has been involved in the music
business since the release of his first record back in 1988. He started
producing Psy-trance with Transwave in 1994, which resulted in 7 Eps and 3
albums in two years. Under the guise of Absolom, Christof now collaborates
and produces for a host of other artists.
The rest of the live-acts and DJ line-up includes 3D Vision
label-mates "Lost & Found" alongside local favourites "Shift", the
"Commercial Hippies", and "Rubix Qube" on the live acts line-up, with
exciting DJ sets by "Headroom", "Jester", "Danalog", "PlusMinus", "Bruce"
and "Specter". Alien Safari knows how to put on a great party. Throw in
their birthday celebration, and this is no doubts an absolute summer
essential!
