Helmut Lotti is set to delight his enthusiastic and loyal following of Cape Town fans as he brings his latest concert “Time to Swing” to South Africa with a special one-night-only performance at the Grand Arena, Grand West Casino in Goodwood. This new summer show will follows after his two Gauteng concerts appearances at Carnival City on Friday 31 October and Saturday 01 November 2008.
Although Helmut Lotti has been in South Africa many times over the last decade, always to sell-out audiences, this visit to the Mother City is only his second in ten years. Helmut’s two-hour-plus, bumper show’s first half will feature songs from his latest CD release, including “Fly Me to the Moon”, “Bad Bad Leroy Brown”, “Mack the Knife”, “That’s Life”, “Fever”, “King of the Road” and many other well-known standards from the fabulous swing era.

The second half of the concert will showcase Lotti delivering his own masterly renditions of his most popular offerings over the years, from pop to rock to soul to classics, and of course, not forgetting his memorable tribute to one of the greatest of them all, Elvis, which has earned Helmut Lotti an almost legendary reputation.
Helmut will be joined on stage for the entire concert by a full big band, including his own international rhythm section, a brass ensemble (featuring trumpets and trombones), strings and choir.   Truly something for music connoisseurs, and fans alike, to appreciate and enjoy. Lotti is justifiably acknowledged as the ultimate versatile entertainer, as he moves effortlessly from one music genre to another, giving each his own magic touch and consummate professional approach.
