The Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts at Kirstenbosch kick off on Sunday, 25 November 2007 with a top-notch line-up featuring Vusi Mahlasela, Love Jones, Flat Stanley, Watershed, The Parlotones, Arno Carstens and many more.  Also on the bill are the Old Mutual Encounters concerts which see artists from different genres collaborating for special once-off performances such as Chris Chameleon & Neo Muyanga, Ismaël Lô, and Karen Zoid & Selaelo Selota.

Singer-songwriter and poet Vusi Mahlasela will launch the 2007/2008 season on 25 November, having just returned from his UK tour with Ladysmith Black Mambazo. On 2 December, singer-songwriter, actor and former Boo! front-man, Chris Chameleon joins guitarist, composer and founder member of acoustic duo Blk Sonshine, Neo Muyanga in the first of the Old Mutual Encounters. Pop-rock sensation Love Jones make their Kirstenbosch debut on 9 December and Flat Stanley play melodic rock on 23 December. The acoustic rock band Plush, who have fought back from tragedy following the shocking death of lead guitarist Chas Smit in 2005, are back on stage and perform on 30 December.

Seether, the Los Angeles-based hard rock band fronted by SA-born guitarist and songwriter Shaun Morgan, will play a rare acoustic set at Kirstenbosch on 6 January. The iconic Afrikaans punk-rock band Fokofpolisiekar appear on 13 January followed by the international pop super-group Watershed on 20 January and legendary 70's and 80's pop-rock band McCully Workshop on 27 January.

Senegalese guitarist, folk singer and prolific world musician Ismaël Lô performs in an Old Mutual Encounter on 3 February. The SAMA award-winning indie rock band The Parlotones appear on 10 February followed by Cape Town Afro-Ska outfit The Rudimentals on 17 February and the 'The Godfather of SA Rock', Arno Carstens on 24 February.

The Old Mutual Choral Encounter, a showcase of the country's top choral talent featuring the award-winning Gauteng Choristers takes place on 2 March. Electro-jazz duo Goldfish blend deep house grooves, live instruments and hypnotic vocal samples in another of their cutting-edge live remix performances on 9 March. Multi award-winning guitarist, singer-songwriter and composer, Karen Zoid shares the stage with one of South Africa's foremost Afro-Jazz musicians, Selaelo Selota in an Old Mutual Encounter on 16 March.

The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of visiting conductor, Iain Sutherland, the Principal Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Scotland, presents an evening of light classics on 23 March. The Jonny Cooper Orchestra, South Africa's premier 19-piece Big Band, play hits of the Swing era on 30 March and pop-rock diva Louise Carver rounds off the season on 6 April.
