workshop for aspiring musicians at COPA (The Campus of Performing Arts) in
Johannesburg to discuss life on the road as experienced by this American
band. COPA has agreed to make a select few tickets available for people
outside of the college. Anyone wanting to attend this workshop can contact
Kerry on (011) 622 7253. Applicants will be accepted on a first come,
first served basis.
Crashcarburn was instrumental in securing the Ataris the
South African tour (The Ataris emailed them asking for a way to tour
here). In a classic case of “it’s not what you know, but who you know”,
CrashCarBurn directed the Americans to Authentic Ideas and the rest is
history to be made. CrashCarBurn will be performing with The Ataris at
each show around the country. Many other local bands will also be given
the opportunity to perform, some chosen through community support search
shows, and others, directly hand picked by The Ataris themselves.
