Taking place Wednesday, 15 September, the Grapes, Gourmet and Gallery Evening will feature signature wines from Cederberg.
The Cederberg wine farm is situated in the Wilderness area within the Cape "fynbos" region, one of the worlds' six floral kingdoms. Since 1893 the Nieuwoudt family has been connected with Cederberg and to date there has been five generations of Nieuwoudts on the farm. Today, David Nieuwoudt carries on the pioneering family tradition of making innovative and award-winning wines. The Cederberg wines vary from the Sauvignon Blanc with bold white asparagus and green fig flavours to the Cabernet Sauvignon with intense dark mulberry and blackcurrant flavours.

The Harveys executive chef, will entice guests with an exclusively designed five course meal to complement the wines and to challenge the opinion and pallet of food and wine connoisseurs.
During the course of the evening guests can marvel at art pieces by artist, Pierre Florenchie from the Patrice Boussekey Eclectic Art Gallery. Born in France, Pierre now resides in Cape Town . His abstract work reflects the mystery of the world and constitutes an attempt to describe what cannot be explained. Pierre uses oil on canvas and sillk to paint both realistic and abstract forms.
The evening is completed with a scrumptious dessert and an auction of gifts donated by Cederberg. All funds raised through the auction will be donated to StreetSmart South Africa, a conduit fundraising initiative that contributes directly towards enabling street children to live a viable life in society.
