National Foosball League Kicks off in Cape Town

Venue: CanalWalk Shopping Centre. Tel: (021) 507 8500.
Time: -
Price: -
Performances: 21 - 26 Mar 2005
The first ever national Adidas Foosball League starts in Cape Town 21 March 21 and ends with the national finals in Johannesburg on 9 April. You can get involved right now by entering the competition and prize money of up to R35 000 is up for grabs, as are loads of Adidas Active Body Care hampers.
Foosball - soccer played on a table with your hands - is an internationally competitive game and interest is now exploding in South Africa. Even if you don't play or follow football, you will still find it exhilarating.
16 teams, comprised of two players per team, will play in each region on a knock out basis at foosball stadiums, which will be set up in shopping centre forecourts in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. Entry will be accessible to anybody who registers at the venue or look out for your entry form in Kick Off magazine before the event.  To test your Foosball performance, get down to the following venues, where you can enter the national Adidas Foosball League: Canal Walk, Food Court Area in Cape Town from 21 - 26 March, Pavilion Shopping Mall, Fountain Court in Durban, from 28 March - 2 April and the Zone Shopping Mall in Johannesburg from 4 - 9 April 2005. The three regional finals will be held at these venues on three consecutive Saturdays at the end of each foosball period.
