The Montagu garden club will be hosting their 19th annual
rose show this year. With October being the month when roses are in full
fragrant bloom, rose enthusiasts from around the country will be entering
their specimen roses in the Cut Flower competition, with flower
arrangement being part of the competition.
This year's theme is "2Wise 2Waste", with the focus being on
creating and stimulating an awareness on the importance of recycling.

Viewing of the roses and flower arrangements / children
art / garden and other stalls / shop window flower arrangement. (8:00am
- 5:00pm)

Kick-Start the weekend on the "Desert Rose" party bus,
have a snack and a glass of bubbly, whilst taking in the breathtaking
country scenery, and visiting the towns beautiful gardens on the way.

Relax in the quaint teagarden for "Friends of the
hospital" - open from 10:00am till 4:00pm

End the weekend with a wine, dinner and dance Saturday
evening, from 7pm till late.
Montagu, famous for it's heady Muscadel and fragrant wines,
4x4 trails, rock climbing and two internationally renown hot spas, is also
the winner of the "2002 Village of the year" award. The local restaurants
and guesthouses are well known for their country hospitality and excellent
cuisine.
