Fifty of South Africa's top companies are set to do battle during a two-day inter-corporate team building challenge which has taken Europe and the US by storm and which comes to South Africa for the first time in May 2008.

Organisers describe the event as the “ultimate team-development initiative” combining adventure, intellect, strategy and teamwork with demanding-yet-fun physical activity conducted in the most environment-friendly manner possible.

Up to 50 teams of four will compete against each other over two days and nights cycling, kayaking and running while devising cunning strategies to outwit competitors in “an experience of a lifetime”.

The challenge takes place in the spectacular Breedekloof Valley near Cape Town from May 15 – 18 this year and the top four teams from the field of 50 will be eligible to enter the world finals in Cyprus in December.

The challenge is part of the Intelligent Sport World Series currently sweeping the globe. The series attracts some of the world’s top companies on four continents as businesses increasingly discover how these unique events provide real inspiration – and fun -- for the whole company.

Funds raised by the The Sanlam Investment Management South African Challenge  will go to the Red Cross Children's Hospital.
