SPOTLIGHT ON:

Lion's Den Restaurant

The historic home Carisbrooke, situated at 317 Main Rd Sea Point conceals a hidden gem of a restaurant in what was her drawing room. Many passers-by may have been fooled by the backpackers alongside it or the Lions Head Lodge behind it, but all that is about to change.
The Lions Den Restaurant offers “old school” friendly service and superb food. Those of you who are old enough to remember the Cape Town of the 1970’ s will remember the infamous Salzburgerhof restaurant in Kloof Street.
Now in 2004 the foodies of Cape Town once again have the chance to sample this wonderful food because the once chef/owner of Salzburgerhof is now back in action at The Lions Den. Treat yourself to veal, steaks and seafood and don’ t forget to try the Austrian Apple Strudel.
On Sunday’s you can sample Sea Point’s only carvery at the tempting price of R55-00/person. Bring the whole family, pensioners only pay R47- 00/person. Call 021-434 4163 for reservations.
