Once upon a time, I was surfing the net looking for a good site about Cape Town's entertainment scene.
I found a couple, all claiming to be the "best" the "only" and my personal favourite, "The definitive guide to Cape Town." But I discovered that on all these sites the home pages hadn't been updated in weeks. One was even telling people what to do on New Year's Eve 2000... months after the fact!
I thought it was a great pity there wasn't a site telling people what's happening around town on a daily basis. Not being the brightest bulb in the house, I left it at that, and then one day it occurred to me, well, why don't I do it?
And that, my friends, is now going on twelve years ago. So Iguess in internet terms thatmakes us about 100 years old. A lot has changed since then - in our country, in our city and especially on the internet. CapeTownToday has also changed, and over the coming months we'll be introducing many more changes and features, a process I am very excited about and I hope you not only share my excitement, but also find these changes help add value to your experiences of Cape Town!
Your thoughts and feedback (good and bad) are of course, always welcome.
