Ed Hodgkinson's third solo show at Everard Read, Cape Town, will present works derived from one fundamental source: drawing.

Hodgkinson’s large-scale, enamel on aluminium paintings explore the relationship between chance and process within a structured environment. Strikingly graphic, these paintings use a pared-down but powerfully descriptive line against a monochromatic backdrop of intense colour.
