This December, tap your feet to the magical sounds of the South African National Youth Orchestra (NYO) as they perform two concerts for music lovers. Residents and visitors to the West Coast town of Langebaan get to see these talented youngsters on Friday 14 December at the Curro School. The concert programme includes a variety of compositions from Strauss and Husa to Holst. A highlight is the Mozart Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola. The next concert will be in n Cape Town on Sunday 16 December

The National Youth Orchestras play a crucial role in the development of young musicians, and the wind orchestra and string orchestra showcased in December are the only two national ensembles of their kind in the country.
