Judy Woodborne trained as a printmaker, graduating with a MFA from UCT. She has held a number of exhibitions of her paintings inspired by her travels.

This exhibition, titled "Water", is a continuation of the theme of "The Elements" series of paintings. The images are taken from travels to China, Zanzibar and a recent trip by boat to Namibia. Here the water paintings serve as visual meditation; a metaphor for the flow of time and the impermanence of our existence.

Rebecca Tetley completed a degree in Fine Art at Stellenbosch University, majoring in painting. She later began experimenting with clay, intrigued by the bone-like quality of raw, unglazed porcelain and stoneware.

"I became a potter by default. The clay is my canvas…I pinch my pots very thinly and while they're still wet I paint them with oxides. After firing them at extremely high temperatures - 1 260 degrees to 1300 degrees Celsius, the oxide and the clay seem to melt together."
