Yes Creekers, it is time again for the countdown to our annual pilgrimage to the Breede River, to celebrate some of our country`s most talented musicians at one of the most magnificent settings in the Western Cape.

From 3– 6 February 2011, you will be able to indulge in the pleasure of listening to amazing sounds, playful river activities and great company all on a little farm literally in the “middle of nowhere” . Real goose bump stuff.

The line up for Up the Creek 2011 is nothing short of phenomemal and we are happy to let you know that the following bands and artists have been contracted  for the weekend:  Boo!, aKing, Jack Parow, Flash Republic, Karen Zoid, Elvis Blue, Taxi Violence , Dan Patlansky, Piet Botha, Dirty Skirts; No One’s Arc, The Rudamentals,  Hot Water, Bed on Bricks, Blues Broers, Dave Ferguson, Akkedis, Fox Comet, Captain Stu, Black Cat Bones, Larry Joe, Southern Gypsey Queens with Albert Frost and The Wild Eyes.

We are also happy to announce that Catherine Grenfell from 5fm has signed up to be the MC at Up the Creek 2011.  Comedians that will entertain you and tickle your funnybones include Nik Rabinowitz, Mark Sampson, Pierrot and the Flaming A Brigade featuring Ms. Blackie Swart.

For those who simply cannot wait to get to Up The Creek, why not join us for a sneak pre-view on  Thursday night 3 February.  You’ll get up close and cosy with Dave Ferguson, Larry Joe, Southern Gypsy Queen, Piet Botha and Akkedis on the BOS late night stage and Friday you get to choose your slice of heaven on the banks of the Breede River.  Beats working!!!  Gates open at 16h00 on Thursday, see ticket prices for details of Thursday – Sunday passes.

In 2011, we will bring you the same of what worked last year and more: More food vendors to get you through the days in style, including coffee maestros that can deliver your caffeine to your tent-step, more stalls and more bars throughout the festival. Once again, there will be an area with committed staff to look after the little peeps, as well as dedicated life-guards to ensure maximum safety.

Bring: Your ticket, ID Book, tent, mattresses, camping chairs, torches, sleeping bag, duvet, sun block, insect repellent, toilet paper, camera, cap or hat, something warm, towel, pillow, headache pills, money, sunglasses, condoms, swimming kit, anything that floats – lilo, paddle, boat – and lastly, your buddies.
