Omid Djalili, one of Britain’s top stand-up comedians, will be performing at the Grand Arena at GrandWest on Saturday 27 October 2012.

Omid was born in Chelsea, London to Iranian Baha’i parents and first hit the comedy spotlight at the 1995 Edinburgh Festival. Since then his unique style of comedy has seen his career blossom.
Acclaimed not only as a great stand up comedian, Omid has also appeared in films such as 'The Mummy', 'Gladiator', 'Spy Game', 'Modigliani', 'Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow', 'Casanova', 'The Allottment' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean III' and most recently in ‘Mr Nice’ and ‘Big Fat Gypsy Gangster’.

Omid has also been commissioned to do his own series for BBC1, 'The Omid Djalili Show' and is one of the funniest, freshest and most original comedians in Britain today.

His appeal extends beyond UK borders and he has performed in Australasia, across Europe and the USArecently performed in Qatar for the Emir where he shared a stage with Bill Clinton.
