Created by the same guys that brought you ‘Go Bowling For Movember’, charity fundraiser, ‘Go Bowling For Boobs’ launches its first ever ladies event.

This inaugural event will take place on Sunday, 15 April 2012 at Fresnaye Bowls Club from 12h00 to 18h00. ‘Go Bowling For Boobs’ is a charity fundraiser in aid of the breast cancer awareness campaign, through the "X Marks the Spot" initiative, with 100% of the proceeds going to CANSA.

Teams of five are encouraged to enter early as only 28 teams will be allowed to participate. Four of the team members will play in the bowls tournament and a fifth player, the ‘impact’player’ should be willing to have their head shaved or sprayed in support of the CANSA Shavathon Campaign. With two inimitable barbers, patrons can expect special treatment under the capable hands of the BOS Ice Tea Barbers, Corne& Twakkie. Moet & Chandon as well as Wellness Warehouse have already pledged their support.

Participants and spectators will be entertained by Cape Town’s premier female DJ, DJ Honey B, who has been rocking the Electronic Music scene for quite some time. Food and drinks will be sold all day and CANSA will be present to answer any questions and inform visitors about their awareness campaigns and survivorship initiatives.
