The 2010 vintage of Nederburg’s Winemaster Reserve Noble Late Harvest has just won two more international awards, after winning a Decanter World Wine Awards trophy and an International Wine Challenge gold medal.

This time the wine has won the Vinordic Wine Challenge 2012 Best Value award for sweet wines selling above 119 Krone, as well as the silver trophy for the second best value sweet wine of the year across all price categories. Vinordic is the leading wine competition in Northern Europe and is held biennially in Sweden. Judges include sommeliers and wine writers. Locally, the wine carries four-and-a-half stars in the 2012 edition of the Platter’s South African Wine guide, lauded for its richness that is enlivened by acidity.

Cellar master Razvan Macici says it makes an excellent partner to blue cheeses, patés and a variety of desserts.
