The Wellness Centre in the V&A Waterfront Craft Market will showcase the best in healthy living and holistic wellbeing during its annual Wellness Fair.
As part of the fair, Dr Bruce Copley, an internationally acclaimed holistic animator and educator, will host a series of informative talks exploring the art and science of wellbeing. A number of other local and international industry experts will also run workshops and demonstrations on various wellbeing techniques.
The two-day programme will include the following activities:
Belly dancing shows
Come and enjoy one of the most sensual dance shows, performed by internationally acclaimed belly dancer, Marina Rehbein and her professional belly dancing group, The Palace of the Winds. The show will feature a variety of different dancing styles like classical belly dance, folklore and gypsy dance.

Dragon Power demonstrations
Attend the demonstrations of The Dragon Power Muaythai, one of the world’s leading fighting and fitness centres run by Quinton and Winston Chong. Aimed at training those who wish to become amateur or professional Muay Thai fighters, all instructors incorporate the philosophy of the martial arts along with practical application.

Join Dr Suresh Vassen, lecturer at the University of Cape Town who also runs a successful mind, body and spirit practice, as he explains the Ayurvedic way to perform massage therapies. He will specifically focus on therapies for unbounded energy, rejuvenation, detoxification, perfect weight and release of deep-rooted mind-body stresses.

Come and listen to motivational speaker, singer and songwriter, Andrew Freedman, who also teaches bhakti-yoga and meditation in Cape Town. Andrew will talk about “the fun factor” – the lighter side of enlightenment through an interactive mini-workshop.
