The Centre is situated in Mannenberg on the Cape Flats, in an area with extremely high crime rates, gangsterism, child abuse, unemployment, substance abuse and domestic violence. There are very few resources available in Mannenberg and the surrounding areas and as a result the Centre provides services to a wide range of neighbouring townships, farming communities and informal settlements. The Centre provides 24-hour crisis response, a residential shelter and transitional housing for abused women and their children. Counselling, legal assistance, life and job-skills training are also provided. The Centre helps to empower the women, which assists them in making better informed choices about their lives. In addition, the Centre does outreach work in surrounding communities and schools, as well as advocacy and lobbying. So every little bit done to ease the load on this valuable centre helps.

The first 100 ladies to arrive at Trinity on the evening will be receive free entry and a dazzling goodie bag filled with fantastic items including hair products, chocolates, make-up, lip gloss, magazines, spa treatments, pamper products and more.

“The Diva’s in the City” event will run throughout the country in Durban, Johannesburg and East London and Port Elizabeth.
