Linkin Park will be supported by Kongo on the Cape Town leg of their South Africa tour.
Linkin Park, performing for the first time ever in South Africa, will be supported by Kongos for both their stadium shows. Linkin Park's first South African performance will be in Cape Town on the 7th of November in Cape Town and on the 10th of November at the Soccer City Complex, FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Linkin Park acheived world wide fame with their their debut album, ‘Hybrid Theory’ in 2000 and in the course of their career sold over 50 million albums worldwide. Their biggest hits include ‘Crawling,” ‘Breaking The Habit,’ ‘Numb’ What I’ve Done,” ‘New Divide,” and “Waiting For the End.” From surreal videography to unforgettable stage shows, Linkin Park deliver a visual presence that befits the power of the music.
Supporting Act Kongos is family outfit, consisting of brothers Johnny, Jesse, Dylan and Danny Kongos. In 2010, Kongos started Tokoloshe Records with their father John Kongos (a renowned multi-million-seller South African singer- songwriter). Through their label they released their new album "Lunatic" which reached number one of the Look and Listen chart and their first single “I’m Only Joking” received 15 weeks of airtime on 5FM as well as many other stations in South Africa. The music video premiered on TV 5 and is in rotation on MKTV. The second single “Come With Me Now” broke into the Top 40 on 5FM and the third single "Escape" reached #9 on the 5FM Top 40.
